The low barometric pressure that comes when a hurricane passes by can cause an expectant mother to give birth early, according to a report in the Washington Post.
The low pressure has the effect of causing some women’s water to break prematurely, it said.
Some obstetricians have even told patients with due dates at the end of next week to be packed and ready to go the hospital because of the unusual effect.
