
‘Record’ layoffs
He’s so far survived the iTunes era and a jacked-up rental market, but a controversial sick-leave bill might be the final straw for this East Village vintage-record store operator.
Norman Isaacs, who’s relocating Norman’s Sound and Vision from Cooper Square to Williamsburg next week over a rent hike, says he’d be faced with laying off loyal staffers if the City Council passes a bill mandating paid sick leave.
“I would definitely have to cut staff,” said Isaacs, 65, who has kept employees since the store opened 20 years ago.
