The temps, they are a changin’.

New Yorkers saw a record high Wednesday as temperatures raced well past 70 for the first time in February since 1930, but winter is now reminding us it’s still here.

Meteorologists expect the mercury to drop sharply Thursday, with a high of 42 to 48, rain throughout the day — and a low of 31 at night. It’s a far cry from Wednesday’s balmy temps, when a record high of 78 for the date was set in Central Park and Queens. The old mark of 68 was set in 1930.

“We smashed it,” said Dave Dombek, senior meteorologist at AccuWeather. “To hit an all-time record — with as far back as the records are kept, going to the 1800s — is extremely unusual.”
