Three proud New Yorkers who came here from foreign lands and served in the US military raised their right hands on the eve of Veterans Day to become American citizens.

Army National Guard reservist Akhtar Harrison-Lewis, 26, was beaming after reciting the Pledge of Allegiance with 76 others.

“Today . . . I’m a part of this great country,” said the Queens resident, of Trinidad.

“I moved here one year after 9/11, and I felt like it was a chance for me to really give back.”

Guyana-born Jeremy John, 21, who signed up for the Marine Corps Reserves and is living in Brooklyn, said he dreamed about the day he’d be an American.

“I feel like I am becoming a part of a big family. I joined because I had an obligation to this country that gave me so much.”

Brooklyn resident Kwame Robertson, 31, was born in Guyana, and was 3 when he came to these shores. He served four years in the Coast Guard.
