An acclaimed German violinist “savagely” tried to choke a North Carolina woman to death in her Manhattan hotel room in March, according to a lawsuit filed against the musician Monday.
Pamela Robinson, 64, claims that a naked Stefan Arzberger, 42, burst into her room at the Hudson Hotel on March 27, grabbed her by the neck and knocked her head into furniture.
Arzberger, who says he was under the influence of a drug given to him by a hooker, “deliberately, savagely and maliciously endeavored to asphyxiate” Robinson, the Manhattan Supreme Court suit claims.
Also Monday, a Manhattan judge denied Arzberger’s bid to reclaim his passport as his attempted-murder case proceeds.
