Repo raid

A taxi driver was held up and robbed of his wallet and wheels when he came across two renegade repo men.

The 23-year-old victim told police that he knew he was driving around in a 2005 Lincoln Towncar that had been rented from Safari Express and that the rental agreement had expired.

He must have been expecting that someone would come along to repossess the car, but he didn’t expect what happened on the afternoon of December 3.

He said that he was sitting in the car on 14th Street near Seventh Avenue at 1:30 p.m. when two men approached him.

“Get out of the car, don’t make me hurt you,” one of the men threatened as they pulled him from the cabin.

The two men then frisked the cabbie, taking his wallet, credit cards and $50.

After being alerted, responding officers arrested one of the two men.

Police said that Abdel Rosa, 28, was taken into custody on December 5 and was charged with robbery. His alleged partner was still at large as this paper went to press.

Camera crack

Talk about a violent snapshot — a 29-year-old man was injured last week when a young woman struck him in the face with a camera.

Police said that when they were called to the Wyckoff Houses at 10:10 a.m. on November 30 they found their victim with a deep cut across his nose.

He said that he was arguing with a female friend from Rockaway at his apartment when she “Cannon clocked” him.

Cops took the woman, who was not named, into custody without incident. She also admitted to striking her victim with the camera, but “only because he pushed me.”

Who guards the guards?

Apparently the police, who arrested three people for beating up a security guard at the Atlantic Terminal Mall this Monday.

According to published reports, suspects Luc Vincent, 19, Israel Rodriguez Jr., 21, and Roberto Valle, 27, were sitting in a Honda near the corner of Atlantic and Fifth Avenues at 7:30 p.m. on December 7 when a guard asked Rodriguez to move his vehicle.

Rodriguez apparently did what he was told, but moved the car only ten feet, officials said.

When the guard stormed over to the car, the three men got out and pummelled him, leaving him with a smattering of injuries.

Cops rounded up the three men shortly after the attack, charging them all with assault.

Credit check

Two shopaholics ended up in withdrawal this week after swiping a woman’s credit card and using it to buy several items in Park Slope.

Officials said that 20-year-old Sean Green took a wallet and a GPS device from a car parked on Staten Island back on October 5.

The theft was discovered the next day, but the woman was told that someone had already used the card.

The card’s activity showed that someone had bought a MetroCard at the 15th Street F Train station, spent $215 at a neighborhood cell phone store and another $141 at a local Foot Locker.

Surveillance footage identified Green and accomplice Angela Silva, also 20, as the ones on the shopping spree. Both were charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Targeting computer games

A 43-year-old thief with an eye for computer game software went right to the source to feed his addition — the Target inside the Atlantic Center Mall.

A security guard reportedly found Keith Callahan inside the store at 5 p.m. on November 30 slicing open boxes for items that had not been put on store shelves.

Callahan was grabbed with the razor and the untagged software as he tried to leave, officials said.

Surprise visitor

A 33-year-old man returned to his apartment on Eighth Avenue to find an unwanted visitor admiring his things.

The victim told police that he returned to his home near Union Street at 2 p.m. on November 27 and found his door open.

When he stepped inside, he noticed that someone had packed up his laptop computer and a thief was cowering behind the door.

The thief made a fast escape, mumbling some excuse about living on the fourth floor as he fled.

Cops were still looking for the burglar as this paper went to press.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to come forward.

Calls can be made to the 78th Precinct at (718) 636-6411. All calls will be kept confidential.

Business raided

A crew of gun-toting thieves are being sought for raiding a 13th Street business last Friday.

Workers said that the three suspects barreled into the office of the business, located near Second Avenue, at about 6:30 p.m.

With guns in hand, the terrifying trio ordered their victims to the floor. Workers were kicked repeatedly as the thugs forced them to hand over their cash and cell phones.

Police estimate that the thieves made off with more than $4,000.
