Now hear this, Mr. President.

The White House and Congress need to intervene to prevent another communications breakdown like the one that wrought havoc for first-responders on 9/11, state lawmakers said yesterday.

The state senators want the feds to compel the NYPD, Port Authority, FDNY and MTA to make their radios totally compatible, which the pols say would save lives next time.

A report in The Post last month that highlighted continuing problems with radio communication prompted Sen. Greg Ball, who heads the Homeland Security committee, to write to President Obama.

“Mr. President, this is all our responsibility, and most certainly yours,” Ball (R-Putnam) wrote. “I ask for your assistance and support . . . This [must] be fixed immediately.”
