A West Village eatery’s attempt to steal customers from nearby hot spot Big Gay Ice Cream cut no ice Sunday after droves of people blasted them on Twitter.

Gallo Nero, an Italian restaurant located on Seventh Avenue, about 100 feet away from the rival shop, put up a sign that read “The Big STRAIGHT ice cream.”

They were hit with angry tweets from fans of Big Gay Ice Cream’s desserts, which include the “salty pimp.”

Gallo Nero did not return calls.
