Next stop, easy street!
Retired city bus driver Frederick McClendon wore a honking-big grin as he claimed a $7 million New York Lottery prize Tuesday.
“When I found out, I cried. My family didn’t believe me. They were like, ‘You’re lying!’ ” said McClendon, 51, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
The former driver had no clue he’d hit the jackpot until a clerk at the wine shop where he buys lottery tickets told him a customer had won millions. Then he reached in his pocket and pulled out the winning Cash4Life ticket.
McClendon took home a $4.3 million lump sum after taxes.
