The Rev. Al Sharpton took meetings in Hollywood several years ago as part of an accused drug dealer’s plan to turn him from a civil-rights activist into a TV judge.

Sharpton’s travel to the West Coast was allegedly funded by hip-hop mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, who’s on trial in Brooklyn federal court on coke-distribution and other charges.

Nothing came of the plan, said Tony Martin, who was a road manager for Rosemond.

Rosemond and his production team worked up at least two ideas for a “Judge Sharpton” show, said Rosemond spokeswoman Sibrena Stowe de Fernandez.

But none of the ideas appealed to financial backers, and the plan fizzled, Stowe de Fernandez said.

One problem was that Sharpton, who lacks a law degree, was not qualified to be a judge, said Martin.

Sharpton is now the host of cable-TV program “PoliticsNation” on MSNBC.
