A wealthy former bond trader, who turned to the bottle after making millions at some of the world largest banks, was found dead in a pool of blood inside his tony SoHo loft yesterday, police sources said.

The body of James Patrick Rothstein, 58, was discovered on the floor of his Wooster Street home at 9 a.m. by neighbors who began to worry about him and went inside.

A cause of death had not been determined, but police did not suspect foul play.

Pals said that he recently split from his wife, Marcela. According to one, he “aged 15 years in three months” since the breakup.
