There is no 7 train service between Times Square and Long Island City due to a signal malfunction at Grand Central, authorities said on Monday.
The signal problems began shortly before 11:30 a.m., and the MTA is asking riders to take the N and Q to the Queensboro Plaza station.
In April, over 500 riders had to be evacuated by a rescue train when a loose train shoe came into contact with the third rail safety board.
Papers on the third rail sparked a track fire between Manhattan and Queens in March, and shut down service between the two boroughs.
An ice storm and a dropped umbrella brought the entire line to a halt in February, stranding thousands of riders.
Riders blasted the service problems on Facebook on Monday.
“This is just nuts,” wrote Clarence Eckerson Jr. in the online group 7 Train Blues. “How many more malfunctions can we endure?”
