A Rikers Island correction officer from Brooklyn ripped off the equivalent of nearly half her salary in Section 8 subsidies, the city Department of Investigation charged yesterday.

Margareth Blanc, 47, of Canarsie, earns $73,546 a year but allegedly intercepted $30,663 worth of city Housing Authority subsidies sent to her landlord.

Blanc, suspended from her job and charged with grand larceny, could get up to seven years in prison if convicted, according to the DOI.
