He put the “con” in Con Edison.

A paroled burglar posing as a utility worker was busted after a string of robberies — including one at a Manhattan church, where he swiped the priest’s iPod and cash, cops said yesterday.

Armed with a fake identification card and work folder, make-believe maintenance man Johann Redd would pretend to fix the building’s boiler.

The thefts began when Redd conned his way into Holy Cross Church on West 51st Street on Nov. 29 and stole a priest’s music player and some cash, police said.

According to court papers, Redd, 46, confessed after he was arrested in Times Square on Wednesday. Plainclothes cops from the Midtown North Precinct recognized him from a video surveillance photo as he was walking out of the Brass and Woodwind store at 168 W. 48th St. at about 1:30 p.m.
