Three stupid kids took a dangerous joyride in Manhattan by clutching to the back of a subway car and riding it uptown.

The above photo of the youngsters was captured by an alarmed straphanger from the platform of the 96th Street Station on the Upper West Side.

Sean Futterman, a real-estate broker in Manhattan, said he and other passengers yelled repeatedly for the kids not to attempt the potentially deadly stunt, which he noted was on either a 2 or 3 train, according to WPIX/Channel 11.

But instead of hopping off the back of the car, the kids just laughed and hurled obscenities at the adults.

After seeing the photo, MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz said simply, “Stupidity knows no bounds.”

“Subway surfing” — which includes riding atop the cars — was a popular stunt among graffiti writers and thrill-seekers in the 1980s.

More than a dozen people have been killed doing it since 1989.
