Bronx Assemblywoman Naomi Rivera — facing investigations for putting two boy toys on the public payroll — ducked a cable-TV debate last night against her challengers in Thursday’s 80th District primary.
But her three opponents took a cue from Clint Eastwood and unloaded on the empty chair she would have occupied for the showdown on the Bronxnet network.
“We are living a dream, and we are Naomi’s nightmare, and we are going to get rid of her Sept. 13,” said activist Irene Estrada Rukaj.
Challenger Mark Gjonaj, a real-estate exec, agreed.
“The district has not had any representation. People who pay the price are her constituents,” he said.
Newcomer Adam Bermudez said voters no longer trust Rivera.
