Dramatic video footage shows a would-be robber holding a 64-year-old woman at knifepoint in Queens last Saturday.

The man tried to mug the elderly victim as she was walking on a sidewalk in South Richmond Hill at about 8:40 a.m., according to police.

The suspect held a knife to the woman’s throat and demanded money, but fled empty-handed, cops said.

Nearby surveillance footage released by police captured the attempted stick-up.

The man can be seen approaching the woman from behind and wrapping his left arm around her neck.

Seconds later, he twists her around before releasing her and fleeing as a car passes on the street, the video shows.

The woman was uninjured and refused medical attention, police said.
