Keep your hands off Lou Reed’s banana.

The rocker and his ex-Velvet Underground bandmate John Cale are suing the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts over the “iconic” but never-copyrighted banana art from the band’s debut album.

Their suit, filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court, says the foundation illegally licensed the logo for use on iPad accessories while implying the Velvets gave their “sponsorship or approval.”
