A construction worker died yesterday after accidently plunging off the roof of an Upper West Side church that was being used as rehearsal space for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, authorities said.

The worker was restoring the roof of St. Paul the Apostle when he fell into the sanctuary as a stunned parishioner prayed nearby.

The Rockettes were practicing in the basement, but did not witness the horror.
