Republican Mitt Romney announced today that he raised $7.5 million from New York fund-raising events while ripping into President Obama for not scheduling a personal meeting with Israel Prime Minister to discuss Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Romney spoke during a fund-raising breakfast at the NY Hilton, where he raised $4 million. His campaign also collected $3.5 million from Long Island finance events yesterday.

The GOP presidential candidate slammed Obama for failing to schedule a sit-down with Netanyahu to discuss Iran when the Israeli PM comes to New York for the UN General Assembly later this month, donors who attended the breakfast said.

The White House insisted no snub was intended, and noted that the president spoke to Netanyahu by phone Tuesday night to discuss issues.
