ALBANY — The city Board of Elections’ top lawyer should resign or be fired for failing to follow a law requiring that voting materials be printed in Russian — and for urging Gov. Cuomo to veto a follow-up bill, a state lawmaker argued yesterday.

Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz (D-Brooklyn) called for Steven Richman’s termination in a letter to board President Maria Guastella.

Richman this week called Cymbrowitz’s bill poorly drafted and an “unfunded mandate” that could cost the city nearly $7 million per election.
