Rutgers U. gets $12.5M
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Rutgers University said yesterday it had received a $12.5 million donation, its biggest ever, to help pay for it to integrate two medical schools into the university.
The funds from the Robert Wood Johnson foundation will help the school absorb parts of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
The merger takes effect on July 1.
