A heartless thief stole a crashed motorcycle in Brooklyn while its operator lay dying feet away, police said Tuesday.
Luimy Acosta-Collado, 27, was riding the bike west on Hancock Street in Bushwick just before 11 p.m. Monday when he crashed into the back of a 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan double-parked near Broadway, police said.
As Acosta-Collado lay dying in the street, someone swiped his motorcycle from the scene, sources said.
Acosta-Collado, who lived less than a block from the crash site, was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
He was not wearing a helmet and did not have a license at the time of the crash, sources said.
The 24-year-old minivan driver was not injured, sources said.
Police are still looking for the motorcycle thief.
