Sandwich tax bite
A Midtown Subway mogul took the sandwich company’s offer of “franchise opportunities” too far, pocketing $500,000 in sales tax over six years.
Abdul Mazumder, 49, of Woodside, Queens, yesterday pleaded guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court to charges that he helped himself to the lettuce.
He must pay the city and state $1.5 million over the next year.
