Hurricane Sandy caused over $185 million worth of damage to the World Trade Center site, officials said today.

The expensive price-tag figure was revealed today at a Port Authority committee meeting.

Board members authorized the agency to spend an extra $60 million for repairs.

All of the expenses are expected to be covered by insurance, officials said.

Agency-wide damages from the storm total $2 billion.
