Reshma Saujani is pressing on with her campaign to take on Rep. Carolyn Maloney, hauling in tens of thousands of dollars at a morning women’s fundraiser yesterday at the Sheraton New York hotel in Midtown.

Saujani made headlines earlier this year with her eyepopping cash haul against Maloney for the last quarter of 2009 — doubling the amount raised by the long-serving congresswoman.

Among those in the crowd was Betsy Morgan, the former CEO of Huffington Post, who described Saujani as a “change agent” and a candidate who will be a “breath of fresh air.”

Saujani, a former Hillary Rodham Clinton fundraiser, has been tapping into new networks of donors, insiders said, including people like Morgan from the digital-technology world, to fill out her coffers.

Maloney aides have said she planned to aggressively step up her fundraising this quarter, which ends March 31.
