Organizers estimated that 3,000 made-up sea maidens and mateys marched while thousands more ogled the scantily clad starfish.

Two Brooklynites — WNBC/Channel 4 reporter Cat Greenleaf and “Man v. Food” host Adam Richman — were the parade’s Queen Mermaid and King Neptune.
