Weeks after Noma’s world-famous chef René Redzepi announced he was “stepping away” from the restaurant amid a series of scandals, a Los Angeles shop selling the eatery’s pricey sauces and other fare will debut.
The first-ever US-based Noma Projects store plans to set up shop in Silverlake, just down the road from where the Michelin-starred restaurant’s LA pop-up is operating.
“Opening April 9, the shop extends the work of our Test Kitchen and Fermentation Lab — bringing our staple flavors from Copenhagen alongside new ones developed for our limited time in Los Angeles,” a post on the shop’s Instagram read.

The Noma Project’s online shop already sells items like a 3.38-ounce bottle of “Barrel-Aged Wild Rose Balsamic” vinegar.
“Noma’s limited, luxurious ode to Italian balsamic,” a description of the product read. “Aged in Emilia-Romagna casks and made with wild Danish roses.”
Other items for sale include an 8.4-oz bottle of Mushroom Garum cooking sauce for $25, or what’s described as a nutty Pumpkin Seed praline spread for $37.

The limited pop-up shop will be open Thursday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will run until June 26, when Noma’s LA residency comes to an end, per the company’s website.
Last month, protestors stormed the the pop-up restaurant amid allegations of abuse by Redzepi.
It came following a bombshell report detailing accusations of employees suffering an abusive kitchen culture at Noma.

The allegations led Redezpi to step down from the restaurant on March 11, the same day the LA pop-up opened.
