Police have arrested an emotionally disturbed man who randomly stabbed a stranger in Queens last week, officials said.

Steven Ponce, 30, attacked the 30-year-old victim with a knife on 104th St. in Corona last Thursday night, stabbing him multiple times in the back, torso, neck and arms, police said.

The victim managed to survive the attack and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

Ponce was picked up on Saturday and charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons charges for the unprovoked attack.

He suffers from schizophrenia and was apparently off his medication at the time of the assault.
