WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — Emergency crews are on the scene of a school bus accident on the Garden State Parkway.

State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones says the bus, carrying 14 children, went off the road and slammed into a guardrail in the southbound lanes in Woodcliff Lake.

Jones says it happened around 7:22 a.m. Tuesday.

Jones says seven people sustained minor injuries. However, Jones believes everyone will be taken to hospitals for evaluations as a precaution.

Jones does not yet know what school the children attend or who owns the bus.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
