A school bus carrying children and adults veered off the side of the road and overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike on Friday, injuring several people, authorities said.

The single-vehicle wreck involving the yellow school bus happened around 11:40 a.m. while the bus was traveling south on the Turnpike in Cherry Hill near mile marker 29.8, the New Jersey State Police said.

It was not immediately known how many people on the bus were injured, but authorities said all injuries were “minor in nature.”

The bus “did indeed roll over on its side,” Lt. Ted Schafer, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, told The Post, adding, “All children are accounted for and [are] being transported off of the Turnpike.”

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

Heavy delays are expected on the Turnpike as a result of the incident.
