A bus driver choked an 8-year-old boy Tuesday in the Bronx because the kid was throwing basketballs at him while he was driving, sources said.
The boy was headed home from school around 4:30 p.m. in Fordham Manor when he started “acting unruly” with a group of friends, police sources said.
The driver was forced to pull over multiple times to reprimand the children and ask them to stop throwing the sporting equipment at him so he could safely drive the bus, police sources said.
When police were interviewing the children on the bus, they learned the driver may have just “poked” the students, or jabbed at them when asking them to stop the roughhousing, sources said.
The incident is under investigation.
