A school-bus driver killed in a collision with a cement truck saved the lives of the kids he was driving by making a turn at the last minute, a parent said yesterday.

It was “a miracle’’ anyone survived, said the mother of one of the four children injured in the accident.

Driver Jorge Guevara, 45, “saved them by turning . . . to avoid a head-on’’ collision, said Cynthia Robson of Locust Valley, LI, whose son Daniel, 6, was aboard.

By making the turn, Guevara put himself directly in the path of the truck.

“The driver pulled over to try to save all of us,” Daniel said.

Meanwhile, the truck driver may not have been going as fast as was previously reported.

The truck’s owner said a GPS on the vehicle showed the driver, Raymond Reagan, 44, was going only 15 mph when he hit the LIRR overpass Monday in Matinecock.
