The Queens superintendent who failed to supervise hooky-playing “School of No” principal Marcella Sills is out.
Michele Lloyd-Bey, District 27 superintendent, retired July 1 after 33 years with the Department of Education, officials said.
Her last annual salary was $180,526.
A DOE spokesman said Lloyd-Bey was not disciplined or forced to retire.
Lloyd-Bey told the Queens Tribune she was retiring to focus on doing things for herself and spending more time with her family.
