A Queens mom who was denied a transfer for her son after he was threatened by a kid with a torch lighter got good news last week.
Days after The Post highlighted Bonnie Capparelli’s plight, a Department of Education official phoned to say a transfer was granted.
Her son, 14, a freshman at Long Island City HS, had a flame put to his face by another boy, almost burning him.
