Sandy Hook Elementary School will remain a crime scene indefinitely, authorities said yesterday.

“We’re going to hold those locations until we’ve completed our work and we feel it’s appropriate to let them go,” said Connecticut State Police Lt. J. Paul Vance.

Students will be routed to nearby sites when they resume classes — but it’s not clear for how long.
