An occupational therapist who was fired from her city schools job for allegedly grabbing a 9-year-old autistic student in his wheelchair, slapping him across the face and calling him a “little piece of s–t” is suing for her job back.
Lori Perucci, 36, was accused of hitting the fourth-grade student at PS 188 in The Bronx after he spit in her face in June 2016.
Perucci claims she never touched the child, though she admits yelling at him, according to the Manhattan Supreme Court suit, in which she also seeks $150,000.
She said the accounts of witnesses to the contrary are unreliable because there are “serious and significant inconsistencies.”
A city Law Department spokeswoman said, “We have not yet been served and will review the petition.”
