These high schoolers have seen “Carrie” one time too many.

A New Jersey high school canceled the upcoming crowning of a homecoming king and queen over concerns of a bullying scheme to elect unpopular students and mock them.

The superintendent at Rumson-Fair Haven HS made the decision to cut the teenage rite of passage after administrators learned of a plan to rig the election and embarrass the winners, which some parents claim is an act of bullying.

“It’s disappointing that they would be mean-spirited to other students,” parent Jennifer Sullivan told ABC New York.

But others think the student body as a whole shouldn’t be punished for the actions of a cruel few.

“It’s a tradition, there’s no point in cancelling it,” student Joseph Sestito III said.

The school is now considering whether it should continue with the homecoming king and queen moving forward.

No word yet on whether the hoax involved pig’s blood.
