Sen. Charles Schumer on Sunday demanded that federal authorities more closely comb social media for hints of radical activity.

In touting his proposed Combat Terrorist Use of Social Media Act of 2015, Schumer said the feds have to develop new plans against tech-fueled terror.

“Simply put, the feds need a status update when it comes to analyzing Facebook posts and other social media methods of terrorist groups,” he said.

However, Schumer stopped short of calling for breaking encrypted chats — which millions of Americans depend on for private or business communications.
