An all-girl team of 10th-graders at Stuyvesant HS who had the idea for a bionic eye that may one day help people with age-related macular disease has been named a national winner of a prestigious science competition.
Michelle Zhang, Mimi Yen, Donna Lee and Angela Fan won second place in the 2010 Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision Awards Program.
“We wanted something that would solve a big problem, and blindness is one of them,” Yen told The Post yesterday.
