City Councilman Larry Seabrook’s former mistress testified yesterday that she is helping the Bronx Democrat bankroll his defense against corruption charges — as his wife sat nearby, seething.

Subpoenaed for Seabrook’s retrial, Gloria Jones-Grant admitted she’d contributed an unspecified amount “to help him with his legal issues related to this case.”

The sum was in cash, she said.

Seabrook’s wife, Maria Diaz, put down a crossword-puzzle book and glared coldly at Jones-Grant as she took the stand.

Evidence presented at Seabrook’s first trial, which ended in a hung jury, showed that Jones-Grant pocketed more than $300,000 after taxes while working for several non-profits that the lawmaker had financed with council “slush” funds.
