ALBANY — State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said yesterday his office has reached a settlement with food-ordering sites Seamless North America and GrubHub meant to ensure rivals can compete after their proposed merger.

Seamless has agreements with several restaurants that prevent them from contracting with competitors.

The settlement requires the new company to notify all Manhattan restaurants that Seamless is waiving its exclusivity provision and prohibits future contracts for 18 months.
