Cops are hunting for a knife-wielding killer who stabbed a 35-year-old woman to death at her home in Sylmar last night.
Police say the suspect is the victim’s boyfriend and that he fled the scene on foot with officers in pursuit.
Authorities were called to the victim’s home on Beaver Street just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with stab wounds but later succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect disappeared from the woman’s home before officers arrived, but police have identified him.
“We know who he is,” said a source with knowledge of the case.

A Los Angeles Unified School District spokesperson said students and staff from a school nearby, Gridley-Montanez Dual Language Academy, will be temporarily relocated to Maclay Middle School due to the ongoing police activity in the neighborhood.
LAPD officials said police are processing the crime scene and will soon release the area for normal activity.
The whereabouts of the suspect are still unknown, officials said, but police have leads on where to find him.
