Mayor Bloomberg has now appointed one of his staunchest Democratic supporters to a plum Housing Authority job — twice!
Former City Councilwoman Margarita Lopez — who was first appointed to the high-paying Housing Authority board in 2006 after she crossed party lines to back the Republican mayor in 2005 — was appointed as the Housing Authority’s executive vice president for community programs & development, a mayoral spokeswoman confirmed yesterday.
