A man was found burned to death in the flaming wreckage of his car in a Queens parking lot on Saturday — and police believe it was a suicide.
The wife of the victim had called police Friday, telling them her husband had been threatening to take his own life.
Hours later, his body was found in the burning car in the lot at the Home Depot store in College Point.
His name was withheld pending family notification.
It was the second suicide by fire in New York in two weeks. On April 14, David Buckel, 60, a lawyer known for his activism, set himself on fire in Prospect Park.
He left behind a suicide note saying he used “fossil fuel’’ so he could set the blaze without contributing to global warning.
Buckel was a pioneering lawyer for gay and transgender rights.
