HARRISBURG, Pa. — Democratic Sen. Bob Casey announced yesterday that he now favors gay marriage.
“If two people of the same sex fall in love and want to marry, why would our government stand in the way?” said Casey, the latest of several lawmakers to change their position on the issue.
Casey, who in November supported same-sex civil unions, said he made the shift after reviewing legal arguments and letters from Pennsylvania families.
