Hey, they’re out of the sheets and on their feet!

John Hawkes and Helen Hunt arrive this week at a Midtown screening of their new flick “The Sessions,” a drama about a poet determined to lose his virginity despite being confined to an iron lung most of the time.

Hawkes stars as the stricken polio sufferer who uses a stick in his mouth to dial up Hunt’s character, a sex surrogate, to join him for a little horizontal humana-humana-humana!

Oscar buzz is sure to build for the big-screen showcase, which opened yesterday.

We’re guessing there weren’t a lot of dry eyes at the NY screening.
