A half dozen gas workers were arrested Thursday on charges they received bribes from wealthy Brooklyn property owners to illegally install meters, sources told The Post.

The National Grid employees were among more than two dozen defendants who surrendered to police at the 1st precinct in lower Manhattan around 6 a.m., and were later walked in front of the media as they were led into a police van.

They were transported to Brooklyn Supreme Court, where they will be arraigned later in the morning on bribery and other related charges, sources said.

The workers allegedly accepted bribes from the building owners to hook up gas meters and provide phony inspection stickers so the landlords wouldn’t have to wait approximately six months to rent out apartments.
