Police are investigating a report of a rape at a Chelsea hotel, sources said.

Officers responded to the Maritime Hotel on West 16th Street near Ninth Avenue around 5:30 a.m. after a woman called 911 and said she had been sexually assaulted.

A man was taken into custody for questioning, police said.

The incident is still under investigation and not charges have yet been filed, officials said.
