State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo was able to stop the practice of ticket “line sitting” for Shakespeare in the Park by focusing on “deceptive advertising” on Craigslist, rather than the legality of people who wait in line for hours to get free tickets they can resell, a spokesman said yesterday.

Cuomo announced Thursday that Craigslist will no longer advertise the resale of the tickets.
